OPA is bringing our annual conference to you through Zoom! Come celebrate poetry in our region by attending workshops, browsing through our virtual bookroom, and listening to our keynote speaker Emmet Wheatfall on our theme of bearing witness.

 About our keynote speaker: Emmett Wheatfall is a poet and recording artist. He has 7 published books of poetry, released one non-lyrical and four lyrical poetry CDs. Fernwood Press published Emmett's 6th and 7th poetry collections titled As Clean as a Bone (2018), and Eric Hoffer Book Award Finalist, and Our Scarlet Blue Wounds (2019). Corban University produced a 9-part series about poet Wheatfall based on a generous grant from the Library of America and the National Endowment for the Humanities and is available at https://youtu.be/JFZM7Iqwnsg.
