Themed Third Friday Birthday Parties
On Friday, September 17th, at 7 p.m. over Zoom let's celebrate the poet Mary Oliver (b. September 10, 1935). To prepare for the evening, please read her poem “The Summer Day.” Then, either bring your own poem about a summer day to read OR write a new poem about a summer day that is somehow inspired by Oliver’s poem. Special Fun: Poets with September birthdays will get to read their summer day poems and/or one or two other poems as the first part of our program. After that, we’ll have an open mic where summer poems (or any other kind) are welcome!
